Note: Date of death handwritten on photograph at Tipay says 13 April, 1915. The official death certificate issued in Talagante shows death from artherioesclerosis at 7 am of 31 May 1914. Identifies his mother as Carmen Otero and father as Pedro Ugarte. The person requesting the certificate is 34 yr old Ramón Ugarte, agricultor, who could not sign his name.

Según contaba su hermana Maruja UB, el tío Coke (arquitecto, diseñó el refugio Molinos en Farellones) iba a casarse a Inglaterra con Sibilia Señoret, hija del embajador chileno en Londres y su buque mercante inglés el Stonegate fue hundido el 5 de Octubre de 1939 al sur de Bermuda. Coke fue trasbordado al acorazado alemán Deutschland y como hablaba alemán fue muy bien tratado por el capitán quien le regaló una chaqueta de cuero. Coke murió en Nueva York.
